AND YOU!

Now you have the capacity to choose and make your own decisions to improve this world, USE THEM! It is also true that a lot of people may think that men and women have the same opportunities and rights; but unfourtunatly this is false. We still have much to fight to reach, at the end of the battle, the equal for all humans, including those who have not the same capacities as we. And please, never give up, because if you have to bear the storm, do it; in the end, the storm will pass away.

Benazir Bhutto (1953-2007)

She was the first woman who became a president in the arabic countries. Unfourtunatly, she was killed when she was fighting to restore the democracy in his country, Pakistán. She formed part of the Pakistan People's Party.

She was the first woman to become a Prime Minister.

Khertek Anchimaa-Toka (1912-2008)

Khertek Anchimaa-Toka was born in a modest family and nobody of his family could read or writte. But she learnt how to do it in her konzun native (her native language). Because of that, she was admitted by the Comunist University of the West of Moscú. After a few years, she returned to his native country and in only five years, she won the presidency; becoming  the first woman in the world who worked as a president of a country.

She played an important role to annex  the Republic of Tovà with U.R.S.S.

Simone de Beauvoir (1908-1986)

Simone de Beauvior was a french philosopher and novelist who wrote different novels about different interesting topics. At the end of her life she wrote the book whose title was "The second sex", which positionists her as one of the founders of the feminist movements for equality of women.

Marie Curie (1867-1934)



She was a chemistry and physics Polish pioneer in the field of radioactivity. She made history, becoming the first person who received two Nobel prizes, the physic one, with her husband Pierre, in recognition of their studies of radiation phenomena discovered by Henri Becquerel and the second, chemical because of the discovery of the elements radium and polonium, the isolation of radium and the study of the nature and compounds of this element. She was also the first woman who began teaching as a professor at the University of Paris.
She died because of  the radioactivity that she was studying.

Florence Nightingale (1820-1910)

Florence Nightingale, after serving in the Crimean War as an assistant; became one of the pionners of the modern medicine, and creator of the first model of infirmary, which determineted  the necessity of a healthy environment for the cure of patients. Also, she became the first woman who was accepted by the british Royal Statitical Society thanks to her knowledges of maths.
She had been an important character for the modern medicine

Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906)



Susan B. Anthony was a leader of the American civil rights workers, playing an essential role for the rights of women. She dedicated a big period of his life to make aware of the necessity and right of women to vote. It was not until 14 years after his death that women's suffrage came to her home country.
She was strong, determined and confidence.

Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797)



Mary Wollstonecarft was a british writer and philosopher, who steps in history because of her book whose title was "Claims of the woman's rights"; where explains that women are not lower than men by nature, but it is the absence of resources and the absence of appropiate education which creates the difference. She also, became the first woman who recongnised openly, that women and men had to be treated in the same form, as rational people and equal, using the reason.
She was the first of a new genre of the modern world

Catherine the Great(1729-1796)



This woman, was one of the greatest and brillian politicians of the history of S.XVII. She was the empress of Russia for over 34 years, since when she started at the age of 33 until his death. The empress Catherine played a very important role to set up the bases of Russia as a nation. Thanks to his interventions and reforms, Russia became one of the dominants countries of Europe, not only in the political side, but also in art and literature.

Cleopatra VII (69-30 B.C.)





One of the first figures in the history, which has carried on by a woman; was Cleopatra. She was the last queen of the imperium of Egipt. Around Cleopatra, writers have invented a lot of stories about the possibility of a relation ship between she and  Marco Antonio or Julio César. But that is all false; this marriages were only political and for interests. She just accepted to get married with this emperors to preserve the empire and country of Egipt outside the conquist of Rome.
At the end, when she saw that her empire fell into roman hands, she commite suicide

What role did women have?



Since the beginning of history, it was thought that women had no future for herself, however, accompanied by a man; under the shadows of this, saying nothing to don't get noticed, they could have a decent life taking care of their children and the house. Also, cultures and religions have thought that women appeared after men, and  thanks to their, they can exist. But this is sickle, because are women who bring children to the world and  often they are who take care of them.
